Engineered Shoring Services

Steel Sheet Pile Walls
and Bulkheads

Kissick’s shoring expertise includes sheet pile walls for deep excavations and bulkheads in freshwater environments. Sheet pile walls provide structural resistance by utilizing the full section of the structural pile.

Changed marine to freshwater and Removed sentence: The full sheet pile wall is formed by connecting the joints of adjacent sheet pile sections in sequential installation.

Design/Build Earth
and Rock Shoring Systems

Kissick Construction has the in-house resources and technical expertise to turnkey the design and construction of any earth and / or rock shoring system — for both permanent or temporary installations.

Slurry Walls

Slurry wall construction is one of Kissick’s many areas of geotechnical technical expertise. We use this expertise to act as reinforced concrete walls in areas of soft earth close to open water, or with a high groundwater table.

Pressure Grouting Methods

Our team has the expertise and equipment to meet the specific needs of any situations where grout is needed to fill voids and stabilize soil conditions. Pressure grouting increases strength and decreases permeability, thus allowing the stabilized soil to serve engineering needs for foundation support and groundwater control.

Shotcrete

Kissick is experienced with the installation of shotcrete by wet and dry procedures. The shotcrete placement process provides additional benefits, such as excellent bond with most substrates and instant or rapid capabilities, particularly on complex forms or shapes.

Tiebacks

Kissick is experienced in the installation of tiebacks to provide or supplement lateral resisting force for retaining walls. Our team also installs tiebacks to stabilize existing retaining walls which are moving or deteriorating. Tiebacks can be used for both temporary and permanent applications.

Earth and Rock Anchors

Kissick Construction offers experience in the design and installation of mechanical ground and rock anchor systems. Ground anchors are effectively restraining devices used in many different types of structures including retaining walls, dams, wharves, bridge abutments and foundations for buildings.
